I know, I know. It’s been awhile. I was at a blog conference, I was unpacking, I was painting and renovating, the dog ate my homework.
Ok, the last one isn’t true, but I have been pretty busy lately. I promise to give all the details when things slow down a bit (maybe after I’m done throwing the bridal shower), but for now, here are some sneak peeks to keep my blog alive.
We got the coolest house warming gift from Grandma Cupcake, lights to get the party started!
We are so excited to turn this breezeway/carport into our outdoor dining area. Living in the northwest, the idea of having an outdoor space that is protected from the 99% chance of rain is unbelievable and we plan to take full advantage!
You didn’t think I’d be in this house a full four weeks without painting at least two rooms did you? With the dining room rid of the green, it was time to tackle the playroom. Why the playroom? We decided that for the time being, it is the most used room in the house AND it really needs new carpet. Like, every-time-I-vacuum-the-whole-house-smells-like-wet-dog-needs-new-carpet. Keaton started crawling yesterday so we are on this, now! Where was I? Yes, the paint. So, if you are going to get new carpet, you really should remove the popcorn ceiling first before you have the new carpet. Then, you really better get a fresh coat of paint on those dirty white walls (is that gum stuck to that wall?!). And, if you give a mouse a cookie… those outlet covers are… painted and the paint is chipping off???
You get the picture. New coat of paint. New ceiling and coat of paint on that. Carpet is coming. Outlet covers replaced. Here is one teeny tiny corner:
The paint color is Sherwin Williams Sea Salt. It is very similar to Resortation Harware’s Silver Sage and I live the warmth that it gives while giving just a hint of color. Mostly I just love that it looks clean now. We are going with a vintage travel theme reusing globes and times from Coen’s old bedroom and suitcase from Carter’s old room. Now that they share a room, things have shifted a bit.
And, for those of you who just check in to see the boys… here are two just for you.
The lights look great!!!!!!!!! (were there enough? Do you need more?) and the corner f the playroom is looking awesome too.
Love it and love the pic of the boys:)
What a great entertaining patio, you will have some great times out there, and you and the boys are lucky to have such a great room to play in. The pictures are darling. I love your blog.
Hmm it seems like your website ate my first comment (it was super long)
so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I submitted and say,
I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to everything.
Do you have any suggestions for inexperienced blog writers?
I’d genuinely appreciate it.
